"It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up..."
Ephesians 4:11&12 (NIV)
(I Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:6-9)
The Elders are the Shepherds of the congregation leading them in the direction of Christ through decisions made behind the scenes as well as through their own personal examples. Using the Bible as their guide, these men have committed themselves to the great responsibility of making sure the congregation here is serving each other and the community in the name of Christ. In all, we have 7 men who shepherd the flock here.
The Deacons are the servants of the congregation and stand in the forefront by taking on various primary responsibilities within the work of the church. Some of those ministries include Benevolence, Community outreach, Member Visitation, Worship scheduling, Youth, and Greeting. These men have been chosen by the congregation to help in leading and training others to carry out these various works. We currently have 12 men who head up these various ministries.
(1 Timothy 3:8-13)
