We are extremely proud of our rich heritage from 100+ years of serving the Lord in Kennett, MO. Numerous people and events have contributed in making Slicer Street the congregation it is today. Throughout 2011, several special events took place to help us celebrate, reminisce, and honor 100 tremendous years!

May 11 – 15 Johnny HesterJohnny Hester conducted a tent meeting on the exact dates of the original tent meeting 100 years ago. It was out of that tent meeting that the church here in Kennett was formed.
June 26 Martel PaceWe returned to the Opera House on the square, where the church first met weekly.
Sunday, September 11 Don WilliamsA final celebration of reflection on the past work of the church.
November 6 – 9 Danny BoggsOne of Kennett’s very own returned to start the church on the next 100 years.
